Hold’em is the most popular form of poker in the world. At Bay 101 Casino, hold’em is played in limits ranging from $1-$2 all the way to $80-$160. Spread-limit games are also available with betting in ranges of $5 to $200 and $10 to $200. In addition, newly introduced no-limit games have blinds ranging from $1/$1/$2 and $2/$2 all the way to $25/$50 and buy-ins to match the size of the game. Hold’em players start with two cards face down and then form hands comprised of the best five cards among their hole cards and the board (five community cards in the center of the table shared by all active players). This exciting game is described in detail here.
Omaha high-low split is a variant of hold’em, in which the high hand and the low hand split the pot. Players start with four cards, and must use two of their cards together with three of the five community cards to form their best hands. The high hand and the low hand can use different combinations of two-plus-three. The low hand must consist of five unmatched cards 8 or lower and straights and flushes do not count. At Bay 101, Omaha high-low split is played in limits ranging from $4-$8 to occasional $10-$20 tournament play. The game has a half kill, an increase by 50 percent of the stakes for one hand following a pot in which the same player wins both the high and low half. Omaha high-low split is described in detail here.
