Object of the Game
To obtain a higher ranking than the Player/Dealer's hand.

The highest ranking hand is 9, while the lowest ranking hand is 0.

A hand with cards whose sum is in double figures are ranked with the 10s digit ignored. So a hand totaling 18 would count as eight.

Rank of Hands
9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1-0

The Player/Dealer must stand on 7 or better and hit 3 or less, with 4, 5 or 6 being optional hands.

House Way: Players must stand on 6 or better and hit on 5 or less.

The Play
Super Pan 9 is played with up to eight decks of cards minus the 7s, 8s, 9s and 10s, for an eight deck total of 288 cards.

The game is dealt to up to 12 players (positions) on a gaming table.

The House Dealer controls the shuffling and dealing of the cards, the orderliness of the game and the house collection for each hand.

The Dealer button denotes which player is the Player/Dealer for that hand. Each player may bank twice. The Dealer button rotates clockwise.

A player may decline or accept the Player/Dealer button. All players play their hand against the Player/Dealer's hand only.

The dice cup, containing 3 dice, is shaken by the Player/Dealer to determine which seated player (position) receives the action button.

The action button denotes which hand is to be first when the play begins.

The Player/Dealer is always counted as numbers 1, 9 or 17 for 8 handed games, 1 or 11 for 10 handed games, or 1 or 13 for 12 handed games.

The House Dealer will deal each player three cards, one at a time, starting at the action button.

The Player/Dealer's cards are placed in front of the House Dealer and are kept face down.

Tie Breaker on 8 or 9 (option):
If the Player/Dealer's hand and the player s hand both total eight or both total nine, the hand containing the highest ranking card wins. The ace is the highest ranking card and the deuce the lowest. The suits are spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs in descending order. If both hands have the same highest ranking card, the hand is a tie. Ties on zero through seven are ties with no tie breaker or winner.

Hits will be delivered starting with the player next to the Player/Dealer in a clockwise rotation.

The players may stand on their hand or draw one additional card.
